So for my birthday the WB has decided to give me a gift. What could that be you ask? Smallville Season Premiere! Woo Hoo!

(Okay, so I doubt they did it JUST for me - but it's the thought that counts. Right?)

Oh, and this season, just for hellziggy, guess who is going to play Brainiac? James Marsters. Uh huh... I can here her moose getting all hot and bothered right now.

And one more just for the hell of it - Tom Wopat. That's right, those Duke Boys will be at it again in the streets of Smallville.

Distrubing...

I read about the death of Chief Justice Rehnquist in a number of blogs very early this morning. I didn't let it sink in until I was mowing the lawn this morning. I know, most deep thoughts are better thought while in the bathroom, but with the solitude of a riding mower and an MP3 player things just work out that way. It's a scary time right now for all of us, whether you are a Republican or a Democrat - it doesn't matter.

The choice of our next Supreme Court Justice will most likely be a conservative, extreme right-wing thinking, moral majority leaning individual. Our civil liberties, our rights to choose-speak-print-protest could very well be in jeopardy. Hey, if Bush nominates a left wing, lesbian, black female I will eat my words - but we all know that isn't going to happen.

I would pray to God for his intervention, but according to the conservative right I would be asking him to do their will - not his.
