Well, I picked up our rib roast for next week. Popped it into the freezer, just for a couple days. I am going to do a dry age in the fridge (ala Alton) so the meat will be extra tasty. I will forgoe the use of a terra cotta planter, but at least I have my digital thermometer so I can achieve optimal doneness without risking overcooking the roast.

So, my tasks for Christmas Dinner will also involve making some yummy horseradish and Yorkshire Pudding... Mmmm... Is it Christmas yet? No? Good! I still have presents to wrap.

Yesterday we went to Costco in Winston-Salem. There is just something about Winston... Whenever we go there, I just feel happy. There must be something in that city that puts a smile on my face. Anyway, while there at Costco, I like to look over the DVD's and they had one of my favorite movies there for only $9.99! The 30th Anniversary Edition of Blazing Saddles! That is a damn fine movie...

What else? Ah yes! We watched The Polar Express last night - all in all, I think it was a good movie! I think Mindy wants to buy it, but I would rather get Blazing Saddles.

Your Christmas dinner sounds tasty. I need to figure out what to make.

Blazing saddles is a great movie.

You know, rib roast sounds really good. I was debating ham or turkey, but I think the ribroast is going to win. Time to go shopping tonight.

Harris Teeter has them on sale for $5.98 a pound... That is a great price!

Good thing they sell cleaning sponges to suck up all the drool coming from your comment. ;)

I want to marry a man like Alton. Creative and can make me pie. I was trying to figure out the best line in Blazing Saddles and I think I'm torn. It's either "Excuse me while I whip this out." or "15 is my limit on shnitzengruben." There are so many, though. It's a classic movie.

I have always been partial to, "They always keep coming and going, and going and coming, and always too soon..."

I'm assuming that's your family portrait?! It's tiny, but from what I can see, it's lovely! Nice to put a face to a journal.

It was a very cute family portrait by the way! :)

Hehe, that would be correct...
