Dec. 8th, 2005 09:19 am25 years later and the man is still a legend. Imagine how things would have been had he still been around. Way to go John, and thanks for everything you did and continue to do through your legacy.

Work is bugging me. Sometimes, I wonder if this job change was such a good idea, but I'll deal with it as best I can until I can do something else.
-----
We're supposed to go to lunch today with our managers at a restaurant that Mindy has been dying to try but we haven't gone to yet - Village Tavern. They have one in Winston and another in Greensboro (we're going to the latter since it is closer to the office). This is the same situation that happened with Bonefish Grill, she wanted to go and I went with colleagues at work. I better not mention it to her...
-----
Yesterday morning Mindy ruined one of my Christmas surprises. I had bought the new Bissell SpotBot for the house because we saw it on TV and everything I found out about it online looked very promising. In a house with a dog and a child, there are spots. So anyway, I had picked it up secretly and stashed it in the unfinished room above the garage. Flash forward two weeks later and we're going to have company on Saturday. Mindy says to me, "You said that Wal-Mart had that Spotbot, right? I was thinking we should get it so we can do the floors before Saturday." How do I counter that? So while she was busy I went up to fetch the SpotBot and I put it on the couch to surprise her. She see's it and you know what she said? "Well, i guess you'll have to get me something else for Christmas to replace it!" Niiiiice!! :) But, that new SpotBot works awesome! Too bad you don't get very much of the cleaning solution in each and every bottle. I am on the warpath against doggie and baby stains and I am running out of ammo! Must call in for reinforcements... Can't stop the fight... Must have clean floors by Saturday... If I don't make it back, carry on without me.
