I was up before 4 am this morning getting some Motrin for Emily in the hopes it would help bring her fever down. (See my early morning journal entry for exact time) The windows were open throughout the house, since the weather has been so nice. Anyway, out of nowhere the wind picked up and I heard thunder, so I went around and closed all the windows. It was a good thing I did, because we has some rain not long after that wind picked up.

We haven't heard much from The Dixie Chicks in a while. The last thing I remember from them was all the flap about their comments about the Dub-Ya. (And as I recall, I even commented about it way back then) Anyway, I just read they have an album coming out in May, and there was a link to hear the first single from that album (Go here - Listen to "Not Ready to Make Nice") I gave it a listen, and I liked it! Let me know what you think of it as well.

We went and saw Ice Age II on Saturday. It was pretty good. Emily sat through the whole thing and she really liked Scrat and the scene with Sid and the mini-sloths. It was so funny because as I was sitting there getting ready to watch the movie my eyes kept shifting over to watch Emily as she watched the screen. Her little hands full of popcorn, eyes plastered to the screen. It was so darned CUTE! I was also happy that out of all the kids in that theater, she made the least amount of noise. When she did have something to say, she whispered it - so I have taught her well!

One of my friends cut me from their friends list. No biggie. The only reason I write about it is to say that if anyone ever feels the need to move on, you can do so without drama. Well, I can't say that is entirely true because if some of you - and you know who you are - were to cut me, I'd at least want to know why. So no more cutting... Except with scissors and paper. Or perhaps a nice sirloin and a steak knife. Those things, feel free to cut.

There was a movie trailer just before Ice Age II, made you think it was for Superman, but I knew better. It was for The Simpson's Movie - coming out in 2007. I am not 100% sure about that. I mean, it has been on TV for ages, what more would they accomplish in a movie theater? Thoughts?
-----
Oh, I almost forgot - did anyone watch South Park a couple weeks ago to see The Return of Chef? I had Tivo'd it, just because of all the Isaac Hayes controversy, and I laughed my ass off! I especially loved the ending... It made me think of [livejournal.com profile] hofmannison, since it mirrored the ending of SW:RotS and you see that Vaderized Chef. (Is Vaderized a word? No? Well it is now!)
