Yesterday we went to Costco to pick up some essentials (milk and eggs), and as usual what would have cost less than $10 ended up costing about $96 and change. We picked up some cherries, grapes, carnitas (so damned good, you have to try it if your Costco carries it) and some other stuff. As we were turning down the frozen foods aisle I spotted a guy who looked like Santa Claus on vacation. He was wearing shorts, a red t-shirt and a white brimmed hat with a hat band. I nudged Mindy as I whispered to Emily, "Look baby, Santa Claus is shopping at Costco!" Mindy scolded me and told me to stop it. We went down the aisle and they were in front of the veggies we needed to get to, looking them over and trying to make up their mind. Mindy decided to help them out, "Those are so good! We buy them all the time." At that, shopping Santa asked, "Can I give your little girl a sticker?" "Sure!" He pulled out a velvety red bag, and pulled out a sticker that said 'I met Santa Claus' - and I looked at Mindy with that smirky grin that said it all. As we walked away, Emily waved bye to our Summer Santa, and I was laughing my ass off, "Stop it? Hah! I told ya he was Santa."

This morning as we played in bed, Emily was acting the fool and yelling, "Good Morning!" to the baby brother in Mindy's tummy. I was playing with her feet and she said, NO! That's Mommy's foot." "What about the other one?" "That's Emily's foot." "What about Daddy?" "Too bad for you Daddy." Huh?! Where did she get that phrase from? Heck if I know, but it was funny as hell! :-)

We are having the best lightning, thunder and rain storm right now. I am talking lightning that is off the hook! I am gonna go turn off the lights and watch it with Emily. That should be fun.
