1) I tend to be a non-violent person with a capacity for kicking ass. Growing up I never really got into a fight, but in either my Junior or Senior year I got into a fight and basically froze, got popped in the head a couple times (he was an asshole jock and I have no idea why he felt the need to fight with me). Anyway, fast forward about five years and I was working as security for a band and as a bouncer for the club Gazzarri's and I found my inner ass-kicker (without every having to use it). It was like a separate personality that I could put on and take off if I needed it. Basically I would scare folks into submission just by looking imposing. I never actually had to fight anyone, but the need to be physical (restraining jerks and threatening to tie their arms into knots) was there and ever since then I am confident that if I needed to take someone down a peg or two I could do it quite effectively.
2) I didn't have my first alcoholic drink until I turned 24. I didn't feel my first buzz until I was around 25. I didn't get really drunk until around 26 - and I haven't been drunk ever since then. Puking in <lj user=sipperphoto>'s toilet once was good enough for me. When I woke up that morning without having a hangover I figured the next time would include the hangover, so I quit while I was ahead.
3) I recently sent letters to my mother and my brother, basically forgiving them and asking for their forgiveness in return. I have decided that I don't like carrying around all the anger and negativity and I have sworn to be a much more positive person. I want to set positive examples for my children, and this was a necessary step in my opinion.
4) The ringtone on my new cell phone is an MP3 of Casting Crowns song 'The Voice of Truth'. I tried to find a Superman themed ring tone, but I wasn't successful.
5) I value my LJ friends as much as people I know persoanlly. I think online relationships serve just as much of a purpose as friends you see face to face, and when people refer to 'online' versus 'real life' friends I think they are sort of one in the same. Reading what people write, even though it may be slightly edited for content, is still a glimpse into their life and I enjoy being able to see those glimpses. I think I am pretty much like the person you read when you read. I have to make it a point to get out there and connect with some of the more local LJ friends so you can confirm or deny this about me.
6) I am a big time flirt. I don't know why. What gets me is that in my younger days, I wasn't like that at all. I was quite shy.
