Oct. 9th, 2006 09:06 amI feel like I did absolutely nothing this weekend, yet it breezed by as if it never happened. That just sucks! Of course, the weather was yucky the entire time which didn't help. I wanted to mow the front and back yard, but wet grass and mowers are not a good mix. Hopefully the weater clears up this week so I can get it done. I figure I may have one or two more mows left before the official change of season and the grass stops growing.

I am craving some pasta like you can not believe. I want to make some spaghetti ala carbonara and am considering one of two recipes - this one or this one. I am leaning toward the latter because it seems a bit easier with less heavy cream (and it is from a restaurant in Italy), and also because the first one is by Giada De Laurentis who looks too damn hot to actually eat the stuff she makes. Maybe if she were alittle chunkier, like Rachel Ray, I might believe it.

We had a showing of the house yesterday. It was decided that I would stay there with Jensen, simply because the yucky weather and the cold was a bit much. They called around 1:30pm and said they would show it between 3:30pm-5:00pm, and when Mindy asked if they could narrow down the window a bit we didnt hear back from the appointment desk to confirm. We tidy'd up the house and everyone else left to go to Costco to do a bit of shopping. And I waited. And waited. And waited. Jensen had a bottle, a diaper change, and I finally managed to get him to take a bit of a nap. Finally at about fifteen minutes before five our realtor called and said they finally got a hold of the agent and they would be there shortly. So she showed up with her clients, looked over the house and they left. I had a good feeling, but you never know. I just want to sell and move so i won't be worrying about finances, commuting and other stuff...

Went to church with Emily yesterday. The usual house band wasn't there at the beginning of service and instead I encountered a band called December Radio. They kicked butt! They played some of the usual standards and some of their orignal stuff that I have never heard before, but I enjoyed their music. They totally reminded me of the bands that used to play in Hollywood when I was a bouncer, but with a positive message of course. They are coming back to Calvary Chapel for the Harvest Party on 10/31/06 - if you live locally, I recommend you come on out and see them. It's free, and free is always a good thing.

Okay, despite my posting of spaghetti alla carbonara, I am going to work harder on my weight loss. I even signed up at Sparkpeople.com, though I may need to revisit my weightloss journal that has sat dormant for I don't know how long.
