Aug. 1st, 2007 08:33 amLast night as I flipped chanels I saw an ad for a game show called Without Prejudice and the premise interested me. Essentially you have five contestants in a secluded room who have all taped interview questions and such, and they sit in that room while a jury of five people decide who gets the money. The catch? Players are eliminated, supposedly without prejudice, based on things as their initial greeting via the video, information they share about themselves, views on hot button issues, etc. I was yelling at the TV within the first ten minutes! People are so narrow minded, bigoted, racist and just UGH! It angered me. I had to stop watching because there was this one jury member who would not shut the hell up, expressing her views and opinions over everyone elses, and it just drove me nuts. I won't go into details, but this girl pissed me off from the get go when she said she wanted to vote off a young girl just because she was from Orange County and she said she must have money. Well the girl was actually a cancer survivor (who lost a leg) who just so happened to have gone to the same community college that Mindy attended while we were dating making minimum wage. When she got called on it by other jurors she balked and would not admit that she was mistaken in her stance. Bi-Y-ach!
No more game shows like this for me... I'll stick to shows where I know I could make bank - 1 vs 100, Identity, Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. At leats that way if I lose money (as if I would ever get to be a contestant), it'll be my own darned fault.
