Ice & Nice

payne_n_diazInclement weather in the Triad today, yet I braved the icy conditions so I could do my calls today with minimal distraction. Mindy stayed home, and Emily is with her, so I am sure Dixie will be happy to have the majority of the family home with her as she sleeps the day away in front of the fireplace. She is so lazy, but I love her!
When I got into the parking lot at work I tried to park on an incline, but the pavement was so slick with ice I was sliding down sidways, so I relocated to a more level parking place. There was a woman who must have just gotten off work trying to scrape ice from her windows with one of those little hand scrapers, so me being the good samartitan that I am I went to help her with my two foot long scraper/brush combo stick. I made short work of her windshield ice and she thanks me for being so nice. What can I say, I am a nice person!
This afternoon I need to head over to Costco to pick up a Christmas gift for me new friend Bert (Mindy's co-worker Kristen's fiance). Childress Vineyards will be represented at Costco this afternoon, and Richard Childress will be there to sign bottles of his wine, which will make a great grift for Bert since he is a NASCAR fan. I figure it's inexpensive, will only take my time to wait in line for an autograph, and it will be something I am sure he'll find to be thoughful and enjoyable. Now for me, I would prefer a signed Alex Ross lithograph (if you don't know Alex Ross see my Icon - now you do), but that ain't gonna happen.
