It's starting... The 9/11 films are on the way as we approach the five year anniversary. Do we really need to make movies about 9/11? Maybe it's just me, but I think Hollywood needs to donate part of the profits to the families who lost their loved ones - after all, why should movie producers and movie studios be the only people to profit off of a tragedy?

Date: 2006-01-09 07:14 pm (UTC)On one hand I feel it shouldn't be done this way. But if they must I would HOPE that the filmmakers have the decency to defer their profit and donate them to the victims' families.
On the other, I also have come to mind films like Munich, and other films about real life tragedies and events such as WWII and Pearl Harbor, the Holocaust, and others.
