payne_n_diazI think I am slightly overdue for an update...
So on Friday, Veterans Day, Emily's day care decided to be closed and I ended up taking a vacation day to stay home with her. To sum up the day we had fun playing, watched Charile & The Chocolate Factory, watched Emily dance to the Oompa Loompa songs, built a fort in the middle of the living room with dining room chairs and a big blanket, washed her up and took her to Mindy's work for lunch, went to the mall to window shop, came home and took a nap, went to the store to get fixins for dinner, made dinner and ate it, had another bath after dinner and put jammies on, watched her fall asleep and put her to bed. Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. :)

Today we went to a birthday party for a one year old. She is the daughter of one of Mindy's co-workers, and Emily has spent some time with both of them and seemed to enjoy herself with the little girl (her name is Abigail). I was bored, Mindy seemed a tad bored, and Emily had a good time. I swear she could have a good time at a wake! We opted to not give her too much cake (although Abbie enjoyed hers - two fisted her little mini cake like a pro). Despite the lack of sugar, she didn't fall asleep until about 9:30 tonight and had refused to put on her feetie-jammies. We got the last laugh though, we just waited until she was out cold and put her in them anyway.

I finally got caught up on some of my Tivo'd shows. I just have one thing I need to get out there... Lost - what was up with Shannon giving Sai'id (sp?) the hook up?! Da-y-am girl! Too bad he won't be getting any more. And Walt, dude, learn to speak forward as opposed to backward. It's creeping me out! Okay, that's all I have to say about that.

Tomorrow Mindy is making stuff for a pot-luck thing at her work. She is supposed to hook me up with some Banana Bread as well (since she is making some anyway). You guys, I can only say that the banana bread she makes - it frikkin rocks! If you live locally, I gotta hook you up with a slice somehow. Maybe I need to organize a LJ friend Holiday Party. Anyone interested?

Date: 2005-11-13 04:04 am (UTC)When? Have no freaking idea. I'm hopefully going to find out on Monday what at least part of my upcoming work schedule is going to entail (time in Charlotte or Atlanta one I'm thinking).
If you put something together, let me know! The only thing officially "booked" is the 9th (work Christmas party).
